The BCWA yoga group meets once a week on Friday morning at 10am in the clubroom for a 90 minute session of yoga practice.
The classes are led either by Pauline, who is a
qualified Iyengar yoga teacher, or Jeanne (qualified teacher and
counsellor) whose speciality is 'Gentle Yoga and relaxation'.
Iyengar yoga is a form of Hatha Yoga, concentrating on
yoga postures and, although it is fairly demanding physically, can be
adapted to suit all ages and levels of ability.
Please note that all participants in the yoga class are
required to submit a doctor's certificate stating that they are fit to
do yoga. This is a requirement of the club's insurance.
