About us

The BCWA was founded in 1962. You can read the full history here. Membership is open to all women who are, or who are married to, British or Commonwealth nationals.

Sometimes members open their homes to provide a venue for lunch which is a "pot luck" affair. These occasions provide an opportunity to meet new people and see new places in and around Paris.

For many people, living in Paris also means eating in good restaurants. So lunches are also organised from time to time in a variety of restaurants all over the city and in the suburbs.

Members can consult the monthly newsletter for all the latest information on what is happening. Ideas for new activities are always welcomed by the commitee.

The association is run by volunteers and help from members is always welcome, such as organising or helping at events, providing "back office" support. There are many ways for you to keep busy in Paris. Please contact a member of the Commitee if you would like to offer your help.
