Craft

The craft group is made up of women of all ages and from all walks of life.  They simply enjoy getting together to make a multitude of hand made items, not for themselves, but to raise money for perhaps charity, or to buy the group a new sewing machine or even card tables for the bridge group.

No-one teaches the group but rather we learn from one another.  Some find they enjoy making cards; anything from birthday, bon voyage, get well soon etc. which we sell all year round in the library.  Others prefer to sew, perhaps on the machine or by hand and make anything from shoe bags for traveling to chiffon scarves with beaded ends.

Then there are those who enjoy knitting and crochet. They've made lovely Christmas tree ornaments depicting Santa and his wife, soldiers, fairies and more.  We make quite a lot of jewellery too with stones such as opal or jade.

Group meets all day on Wednesday afternoons.
